Dr. Abdeen Mustafa Omer

 Dr. Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the National Council for Research/Energy Research Institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for National Water Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book WHO’S WHO in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 200 review articles, 17 books and 150 chapters in books.

K.-L. Du received the PhD in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 1998. He founded Xonlink Inc., Ningbo, China in 2014. He was Chief Scientist at Enjoyor Inc., Hangzhou, China from 2012 to 2014. He was on research staff at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada from 2001 to 2010. Prior to 2001, he was on technical staff with Huawei Technologies, China Academy of Telecommunication Technology, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. He visited Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008. Dr. Du has authored four books (Neural Networks in a Softcomputing Framework, Springer, London, 2006; Wireless Communication Systems, Cambridge University Press, New York, 2010; Neural Networks and Statistical Learning, Springer, London, 2014; Search and Optimization by Metaheuristics, Springer, 2016). He has also published over 50 papers, and has 4 issued U.S. patents and 30 Chinese patents. Currently, his research interests are signal processing, wireless communications, and machine learning. In the past five years, he has co-supervised 11 MSc students.Dr. Du has become a Senior Member of the IEEE since 2009. He is currently an Affiliate Associate Professor at Concordia University. He has been on Editorial Board or been Associate Editor of 10 journals, including IET Signal Processing and Circuits, Systems & Signal Processing. He also serves on the editorial board of the Chinese edition of IEEE Spectrum. He served as member of technical / program / organizing committees of 94 international conferences. He has reviewed papers for 103 international journals, and numerous conferences, grants, theses, and qualifications. He was included in Marquis Who's Who in 2018.

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 25 reviews and book chapters, about 295 journal papers, more than 640 Conference presentations, and 112 patents and patent applications including 32 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. He obtained Gold Medal and The Best Award in the Invention & Innovation Awards 2014 held at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2014, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 Feb 2014. Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has already been working as professor. He published over 50 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 100 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M.Sc theses. He is also Technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of   significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004.  Ivan Bozovic received his PhD in Solid State Physics from Belgrade University, Yugoslavia, where he was later elected a professor and the Physics Department Head. After moving to USA in 1985 he worked at Stanford University, the Varian Research Center in Palo Alto, California, and in Oxxel, Bremen, Germany. Since 2003, he is the MBE Group Leader at Brookhaven National Laboratory, and since 2014 also an Adjunct Professor of Applied Physics at Yale University. He is a Member of European Academy of Sciences, Foreign Member of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts, Fellow of APS, and Fellow of SPIE. He received the Bernd Matthias Prize for Superconducting Materials, SPIE Technology Award, the M. Jaric Prize, the BNL Science and Technology Prize, was Max Planck and Van der Waals Lecturer, and is a Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation PI. Ivan’s research interests include basic physics of condensed states of matter, novel electronic phenomena including unconventional superconductivity, innovative methods of thin film synthesis and characterization, and nano-scale physics. He has published 11 research monographs and over 290 research papers, including 30 in Science and Nature journals.

 Karl-Heinz Gresslehner have completed his PhD in the field of semiconductor physics in 1981 at the Johannes Kepler University, Linz. He was working more than 10 years in the industry and 24 years as a teacher at a school for higher technical education. Since 2016 he is a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria and is the head of the research group “Thermoelectricity”.
